EXTRACT
Extract text from a PDF
Pulls every page's text into a single preview you can scan, copy, or save as a plain .txt file — handy for quoting a section, feeding a document into another tool, or just searching a PDF that won't let you search it.

Select one file · PDF only
Processed entirely on your device — this file is never uploaded anywhere.
You don't have to take this on faith:
- Open your browser's developer tools (F12, or right-click → Inspect) and click the Network tab.
- Select a file and use this tool as normal.
- Watch the Network tab — no request fires when you select, process, or download. If your file were being sent anywhere, it would show up there.
Common uses
- Pulling a paragraph out of a PDF report to paste into an email.
- Getting searchable text out of a document another tool couldn't otherwise read.
- Extracting content from a PDF to repurpose in another document.
Common questions
Will this work on a scanned PDF?
Not currently — this tool pulls out text that's already stored as real text in the PDF. A scanned page is really just an image, with no underlying text to extract, even though it looks like a normal page.
Can I search within the extracted text?
Yes — once it's pulled into the preview, use your browser's own Ctrl+F (or Cmd+F) to search it, or copy it elsewhere to search there.
