What this site does with your files

Foliovex's PDF tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you choose a file, it is read and processed on your own device — it is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server operated by Foliovex. We have no ability to see, access, or retain the contents of any file you process here.

What data we do collect

Beyond standard web server access logs kept by our hosting provider (e.g. request timestamps and IP addresses, used only for security and uptime purposes), this site does not collect personal data or maintain user accounts.

This site itself does not use analytics or track visitors, beyond the standard web server access logs described above.

Data kept on your own device

A few features save data in your browser's storage on your own device, so it is still there next time. None of it is ever sent to Foliovex or anyone else:

• The Resume Builder saves your resume as you type. “Reset everything” (under More) deletes it.
• The PDF Editor remembers the last signature you drew, so you can reuse it. “Forget signature” in the signature tool deletes it. It also remembers the initials and stamp settings you last used.
• The Speed Test keeps a history of your results (see below).
• Your light or dark theme choice, and the options you last used in each tool.

When you pass a file from one tool to the next, or open it in the PDF Editor, it is held briefly in your browser's storage (IndexedDB) to hand it over to the next page, and deleted as soon as that page opens it. You can remove everything this site has stored at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser's settings.

The Speed Test tool is an exception

Every other tool on this site is covered fully by the section above. The Speed Test is genuinely different: measuring a real internet connection requires exchanging real data with a server, so that specific tool sends and receives disposable, meaningless bytes with Cloudflare's public speed-test network (speed.cloudflare.com) while a test is running. No files, resume data, dates, or any other information from elsewhere on Foliovex is included in that exchange, and no other tool on the site makes a comparable request. Cloudflare's own handling of that traffic is governed by their privacy policy, not this one. Separately, the tool keeps a history of your own past results (download, upload, ping, and jitter, with the date and time) in your browser's local storage on your device — never transmitted anywhere, and removable at any time with the "Clear history" button on that page.

Fonts

Pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser downloads them from Google's servers and, as with any web request, Google receives your IP address and basic browser details when it does. No file, text or other content from the tools is ever included. Google's handling of this is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. For users in the EEA and UK, ads are only personalized where consent has been given, in line with Google's EU User Consent Policy. Google's ad code runs on the site's pages, but Foliovex never passes your files or their contents to it.

Cookies

Aside from any cookies set by the advertising described above, this site does not set its own tracking cookies. The data kept on your own device, described above, is stored in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies, and is never sent to us. If an advertising consent message is shown to you, your choice is remembered the same way.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
